All work submitted must be created during the hackathon period and comply with the event rules.

Code of Conduct Our Commitment
Smart City Hackathon Lahore aims to provide a safe, respectful, inclusive, and collaborative environment where everyone can learn, build, and share ideas.
This Code of Conduct applies to all participants, mentors, judges, organisers, volunteers, partners, and guests.
We Expect Everyone To- Treat others with respect, courtesy, and professionalism.
- Welcome people with different backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives.
- Disagree with ideas respectfully, without attacking individuals.
- Give appropriate credit for ideas, code, designs, data, and other contributions.
- Respect personal boundaries and obtain consent before taking or sharing photographs or recordings.
- Follow the reasonable instructions of organisers, mentors, judges, and venue staff.
- Contribute fairly and collaborate in good faith.
Harassment, discrimination, bullying, intimidation, threats, or unwanted sexual behaviour will not be tolerated.
This includes offensive comments or behaviour based on gender, age, disability, ethnicity, nationality, religion, appearance, socioeconomic background, or technical experience.
Participants are expected to stop any behaviour when asked to do so.
Fair and Responsible ParticipationParticipants must not:
- Sabotage or interfere with another team's work.
- Misrepresent or claim someone else's work as their own.
- Manipulate judging or competition processes.
- Misuse personal, private, or sensitive data.
- Use technology, AI, or other tools to intentionally cause harm.
- Violate applicable software, data, or content licences.
Teams should clearly acknowledge significant third-party resources, datasets, code, models, or AI-generated content used in their projects.
Reporting a ConcernIf you experience or witness behaviour that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to the organising team.

You do not need to determine whether an incident is a formal violation before reporting it. If something concerns you, please speak to an organiser.
Reports will be handled sensitively and, where possible, confidentially. Retaliation against anyone making a good-faith report is not acceptable.
ConsequencesDepending on the seriousness of a violation, the organisers may issue a warning, restrict participation, remove a participant from the event, or disqualify a participant or team.
Serious incidents may be referred to the relevant authorities where appropriate.
